2020 Resolutions? The most important things in life are… your relationships!


In our western world where career, entitlement, money, and families are important. We tend to forget that happiness is reachable by simply having strong bonds with other human beings. How to build them: time. There is no secret. I realized after being in San Francisco that the secret to have good friends is time. I couldn’t feel as happy with someone I met in San Francisco 5 months vs someone I know from Chalampé for 20 years. Second, quality relationships are difficult to maintain. How to maintain it; it starts with YOU. YOU DO the effort, YOU call them, YOU shut up and listen, YOU try to help, YOU are here for them when things go wrong. Good relationships work if there is a win-win situation. If you or your friends don’t benefit from the relationship, the relationship breaks apart. Sounds familiar? The problem? Too many of us are waiting that the other is doing the efforts, and too many of us losing the motivation to reach out. So sad!
